The 2016 Subaru WRX STi will now have a new rival to face, the Ford Focus RS but things definitely could have been better for Subaru if they have made sure that the Subaru WRX STi stayed ahead of the rest.
The Subaru WRX STi currently comes with a 305hp engine with 290lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In the city, the WRX STi will return about 17mpg while on the highway, the WRX STi will return about 23mpg. The Subaru WRX STi will need about 4.7 seconds to go from 0-60mph with a top speed of 159mph.
The Ford Focus RS, on the other hand, will come with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be pushing out about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual and it will be returning about 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. The Focus RS will only need 4.6 seconds to go from 0-60mph with a top speed of 165mph.
The base Focus RS model will retail for $36,605 while the Subaru WRX STI will retail for $35,490.
