The Subaru WRX STi used to be at the top but with new rivals like the Ford Focus RS joining the party, things definitely just got harder for the Subaru WRX STi.
The new Ford Focus RS will be coming in with a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be delivering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The Ford Focus RS will also return about 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway.
The Subaru WRX STi will be powered by a 305hp engine that will be offering about 290lb ft of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission and will return about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway.
The Ford Focus RS will only need 4.6seconds to go from 0-60mph with a top speed of 165mph while the Subaru WRX STi will need 4.7seconds to go from 0-60mph with a top speed of 159mph.
The Ford Focus RS will retail for $36,605. The Subaru WRX STi, on the other hand, will come with a $35,490 price tag.
