Ford will be issuing a few recall this week and one of them will affect the 2015 and 2016 Ford Electric due to some transmission issue.
According to the report, the Ford Electric differential pinion shaft could wear out which could cause a fraction on the pinion shaft. If that happens, the car might lose power and park function.
Models that will be affected by the recall are the Ford Electric that we made between the 20th of August 2015 and 13th of April 2016 at their Michigan Assembly plant as well as the 28th of February until the 30th of March 2016 at the Saarlouis Assembly plant.
Those affected will be getting new differential assemblies that will come with friction reducing coating and the pinion shaft and pinion gear bores.
The other two recalls will affect the Ford Explorer, Ford F-150 as well as the Ford Transit Connect.
