The Ford Bronco was the superstar back in the mid-90s but ever since the new millennium, the legendary SUV simply went missing. For more than a decade already, fans have been kept waiting for the return of the Bronco and now, the wait is about to pay off.
Word has it that the Bronco is in production and is due to arrive next year. However, the SUV will be called the T4 Troller instead. The vehicle is tipped to come with a choice of 4.5L diesel engine or a 3.5L Ecoboost motor. There will also be two transmission option and they are identified as the 6-speed ZF-6 manual and the 6-speed 6R140 automatic transmission.
In terms of design, the Bronco will carry forward its old design. Of course, Ford will be giving it some mild touch-ups to make it look more modern. In fact, there will still be that three chrome-plated grille and horizontal chrome bars.
The Bronco might be generous in offering space but it can only accommodate two passengers in total. This is unlike the F-150, which can accommodate three passengers at a time.
Speaking of which, the pickup truck will also be getting an updated model that is powered by a 3.7L V6 engine that offers 302hp. Ford will be developing the F-150 with aluminium to reduce its weight, thus returning better fuel mileage and more power.
Both the Bronco and the F-150 are heavily linked to make their debut in 2016. Then again, there has yet to be any official word on the matter which makes it important to take this with a grain of salt. Only time will tell if Ford is actually reviving the Bronco.
