Well, if you are planning to stretch out the EV range on the Chevrolet Volt, Wayne Gerdes from CleanMPG might have found a way to do so.
By travelling on 20mph on average with the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, Wayne Gerdes managed to squeeze 110miles of range on the Chevrolet Volt on a single charge. It will take you longer to arrive but at least, you know that is how far you can go if you keep the speed below the 20mph mark.
According to EPA, the new Chevrolet Volt should offer about 53miles of range on electric alone.
While he was pretty satisfied with the 110miles range the Chevrolet Volt had to offer, he was not impressed with the Charge Sustaining Mode saying that he feel that the Chevrolet Volt is less efficient than its rivals when driving in CSM.
Besides being impress with the range of the Volt, Wayne Gerdes also added that some fo the update on the inside like the updated design, new rear view camera, upgraded display all added to the charm of the new Chevrolet Volt.
