We have already seen what Chevrolet has in mind when it comes to the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and while Chevrolet have yet announce whether they will be sending the concept into production or not, some consumers think that it will be happening eventually and that it will be coming in to take on some of the larger trucks in the market that the Colorado can’t compete with.
The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 concept came with a 2.8 liter Duramax turbo diesel four-cylinder engine that is capable of delivering about 181hp and 369lb ft of torque. While some people were hoping to see the engine come with the eight-speed auto transmission from GM, that did not happen, instead, all we got was the six speed.
While it does make sense that Chevrolet would want to have something bigger to offer, some consumers are not sure that the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is the one. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.
