Their first plan was to introduce a new mid-size truck that will come in with a stunning new and fresh exterior design to impress the crowd and they did impress with the Chevrolet Colorado but it was not enough.
They also announced that they will be working to bring in a diesel powered model that will be released shortly after and after a few delays, the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax model finally arrive.
The Duramax model will be running on a 2.8 liter four cylinder diesel engine that will be delivering about 161hp. The arrival of the Duramax model also made it one of the most fuel efficient mid-size truck in the market with the 2WD model offering about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway while the 4WD model offers 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. Despite all of that, they are still having a hard time chasing up to the Toyota Tacoma.
So what do they do? Well, according to Chevrolet, they will be upgrading another plant to increase the production rate of the Chevrolet Colorado. Will this do the trick?
