It was initially predicted that the sales number for the Chevrolet Colorado will go up once the Duramax model arrive but things stayed almost the same even when the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax arrive.
It seems like while the people were impressed with what Chevrolet had to offer on the diesel-powered model, Chevrolet’s slow production rate means that a lot of their customers will have to wait for a long time before they can get their hands on the Colorado and that has affected the sales of the Chevrolet Colorado.
Powering the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax is a 2.8 liter four cylinder diesel engine that will be pushing out about 161hp and 369lb ft of torque. The Chevrolet Colorado Diesel with the 2WD system will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway.
With the 4WD system, the Colorado Diesel will return about 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. As amazing as it is, the Colorado will still be trailing behind the Tacoma until Chevrolet comes out with a way to speed up the production rate of the Chevrolet Colorado.
