It was assumed that the arrival of the Chevrolet Colorado Diesel would help improve the sales number of the Chevrolet Colorado model. With better fuel efficiency, the Diesel powered model was assumed to be what everybody was waiting for but even with the Diesel model now in the market, thing is not really improving for the Colorado.
The Chevrolet Colorado Diesel model comes in with a 2.8 liter four cylinder diesel engine that will be pushing out about 161hp and 169lb ft of torque. With the diesel engine, the Colorado with 2WD will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway.
The 4WD model will return about 29mpg on the highway and 20mpg in the city. To help make thing better, Chevrolet has now announce that they will be upgraded another plant to further increase the production rate of the Chevrolet Colorado has it has been decided that the one thing that has been holding the Colorado back the slow production rate.
Chevrolet has been struggling to keep up with the demand ever since the Colorado was release, hopefully, this will help turn thing around.
