Chevrolet has made it clear that they plan to release a diesel-powered version of the Chevrolet Colorado long before it was release and some are saying that that is the reason why Chevrolet was having such a hard time trying to catch up with the Toyota Tacoma.
However, now that the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax is up and ready, will it be time for Chevrolet to finally take down the Toyota Tacoma? The Chevrolet Colorado Duramax model will come powered by a 2.8 liter four cylinder diesel engine that will be delivering about 181hp and 369lb ft of torque.
The Chevrolet Colorado Duramax will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway with the 2WD system and 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway with the 4WD making it one of the best truck when it comes to fuel efficiency.
Not only is the diesel-powered Colorado fuel efficient but it is also surprisingly quiet. Of course, since this is a diesel-powered model we are talking about, it won;t be as quiet as the gasoline-powered model but it is definitely way more quiet than most of the diesel-powered trucks in the market.
