2016 Chevrolet Camaro: First Batch Of Beans Spilled! [PICS]

Come 2016, Chevrolet will be releasing the next-generation Camaro but fans don’t have to wait that long to see what the muscle car has got to offer. Just yesterday, the first spy shot images of the Camaro has made its way into the internet and it tells us a bit about the upcoming vehicle.

While the 2016 Camaro might be wrapped under thick camouflage, we can still see that the muscle car will be riding on the scalable Alpha platform by GM. Applying such architecture will drastically reduce the vehicle’s weight, remove big footprints and shortens the roof.

On another note, the size of the Camaro does look identical to the ATS. The latter is well-known for offering a superb handling and the Camaro could just offer something similar thanks to the similar measurements.

Also, we noticed the quad exhaust popping out of the Camaro’s tail. While no details were revealed, such piping system strongly suggests that the Camaro will be powered by a V8. However, the ZL1-style spoke hints on something stronger like a turbocharged four cylinder mill. The latter will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission which will allow it to rival the Ecoboost Mustang.

We can expect Chevrolet to price the Camaro at $24,550 but this will be further confirmed when the vehicle gets unveiled at the end of next year.
