The BMW X5 comes with a long list of engine options as well as new features while the Acura MDX is refined and comes in with a spacious interior. Which of these two luxury model do you think deserves to win?
The BMW X5 comes in with a 3.0-liter I-6 engine that will be returning about 300hp and 300lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission. The Acura MDX, on the other hand, will come running on a 3.5 liter V6 engine that will be delivering about 290hp and 276lb ft of torque and will be mated to the nine-speed auto transmission.
The BMW X5 will return about 18mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway while the Acura MDX will return about 29mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway which means the Acura MDX is slightly more fuel efficient than the BMW X5.
Both models were given a five-star rating for safety. The Acura MDX will retail for $40,021 while the BMW X5 will retail for $50,825.
