The unofficial pricing information for the all-new BMW X1 has been announced and in the UK it will come with a pricetag of somewhere between £26,780 and £36,060. That is around £1,500 more that the last generation X1.
The cost will most likely be around the same all over Europe, once the pricing for the rest of the continent has been revealed. At the moment this information has come from Autocar and we can’t be sure where they have sourced their information from.
The report also reveals that sales of the new X1 in the UK will begin this autumn.
To begin with BMW will release the second-generation X1 in Europe with three 2.0-liter petrol engines. These are the xDrive25i with 231PS (228hp) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft), the (FWD) sDrive20i and (AWD) xDrive20i with 192PS (189hp) and 280Nm (206 lb-ft).
There are going to be three 2.0-liter diesel models as well. These are the (AWD) xDrive20d with 190PS (187hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft), the xDrive25d with 231PS (228hp) and 450Nm (332 lb-ft) and the (FWD) sDrive18d with 150PS (148hp) and 330Nm (243 lb-ft).
You will be able to get your hands on both the six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions and the range is due to get even bigger when three-cylinder petrol and diesel units are added to the mix.
