The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will be running on a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine that will be delivering about 362hp and 384lb ft of torque and will be mated to a seven-speed auto gearbox. The C450 AMG will return about 29mpg on the highway and 21mpg in the city. According to Mercedes, the vehicle will be able to go from 0-60mph in 4.8seconds.
Under the hood of the BMW 340i is a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine that will be delivering about 320hp and 330lb ft of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission but a ZF-sourced eight-speed auto transmission will also be offered. The six-speed transmission will allow the BMW 340i to return about 22mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway. According to BMW, the 340i will only need 4.6seconds to go from 0-60mph beating the C450 AMG by 0.2 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will come with a $51,715 price tag while the BMW 340i will retail for $48,795.
