It is no secret that a brand new Toyota Hilux is currently in production and will be coming for a release early next year. Today, fans of this long-serving pickup truck can already check out what the next-gen Hilux has got to offer.
The highly-anticipated vehicle was spotted yet again, doing some tests in southern Europe. Of course, the Hilux is still wrapped by thick black and white camouflage. Regardless, we can still see through the cover-up and spot some interesting features.
For starters, the upcoming vehicle will be bigger and more angular than before. Despite getting an upsize, the Hilux sports a smaller and narrower pair of headlamps. The grille, on the other hand, is made up of two horizontal bars in between each air intake.
This further suggests that the Hilux is going to get powered by 2.5 and 3.0 litre four-cylinder diesels with variable-nozzle turbos (VNT) that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Then again, this will be further confirmed when we near the Hilux’s release early next year.
