Toyota will be rolling out the new Hilux next year and it will come with a more futuristic look. While many are clueless on how it will look like, an independent concept designer has taken the vehicle spy shots to come up with his visualization of the pick-up truck.
The first thing viewers will notice is the front grille, which looks like a combination of those from the Highlander and the Corolla. Underneath the grille lies a huge trapezoidal lower-intake. Above all that, the Hilux is much bigger than its predecessors.
We can expect the next Hilux to run on the 2.5 and 3.0 liter Diesel four with an optional 4.0 liter V6 engine. The car will come with a choice of 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic gears. Also, there is the 2WD and 4WD configuration.
The Toyota Hilux will surely be a serious threat to the Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Navara, Mazda BT50, Mitsubishi Triton and Volkswagen Amarok.
