About 2 years ago, Subaru swept enthusiasts off their feet after the company unveiled the WRX concept that looks perfect. However, those excitements soon turned sour when the sports sedan got released with a totally different appearance to its concept.
Subaru have faced many criticisms because of it but wish to correct their ways with the upcoming Impreza and the XV Crosstrek. Subaru’s representative confirmed that the 2015 Impreza will be based on the WRX Concept to give the fans what they want.
Subaru’s chief designer, Mamoru Ishii, revealed that the Impreza’s design will be heading in a new direction and he is confident that it will excite the marketplace. Furthemore, Ishii confirmed that the design cues will be the role model for the next WRX as well.
Among the features of the design includes a wider lower section and a narrower roof section. This will result in a bolder body with a more tapered greenhouse, like the WRX Concept.
The upcoming Impreza will be based on the newly created modular chassis architecture (Subaru Global Platform) and it will be the first of many future vehicles to adopt this new invention.
