The Maxima has long served Nissan as a powerful sports sedan and soon, it will be getting updated with a new model. Nissan is a trend setter, most of the time, which is why we can look forward to the uniqueness of the upcoming Maxima, just like how we witnessed the Qashqai.
The break the norm, Nissan could be giving the Maxima a total makeover by changing its front-grille to a larger one, add in a V-shaped chrome bar that overlaps the grille, LED headlights that stretches out wide and perhaps, a floating roof.
Of course, the best features would be from the legendary Nissan GTR and since the Maxima is from the same make; it could simply take some inspirations, or parts, from Nissan’s leading vehicle.
As for the interior, the Maxima should take some elements from Nissan’s Friend-ME which offers angular dashboard, new style for the control panel and a twin-cowl upper dashboard.
Under the hood, the Maxima could enjoy squeezing every pony from a 3.5-liter V6 engine that runs on the AWD, or RWD system. The choice of powertrain fits best on a D-platform vehicle, which is the next Maxima.
If all of the above are to come true, then we could see a champion in the making. The maxima will surely be able to stay ahead of powerful rivals like the Ford Taurus, Dodge Charger and also, the Toyota Avalon.
