The upcoming Honda Civic Type R has been creating quite a buzz in the automotive industry and Nissan is not keeping quiet about it. The Japanese carmaker went out to unveil a new concept which could just be the next Nissan Maxima.
At a glance, the concept design certainly looks exhilarating and futuristic. However, viewers can still spot that traditional boomerang headlights and taillights. Also features like the creased fenders, slim roof and black-out pillars are identical to the Nissan GT-R. Then again, the Maxima somehow resemble the Infiniti.
For a concept, the Maxima looks ready for production as it arrived with headlights, tailgates, wheels and door mirror. These features are often left out on a concept. Inside the cabin, the car is the complete deal as it has leather seats, gauges and a fully functional infotainment system.
Nissan claims that the SSC will be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine that can achieve 0-60mph in just 5.8 seconds. This is something worth to look forward to. Let’s just hope that the concept will truly be the next Maxima.
