For years now, Nissan has been abandoning its sports vehicles to focus on exploring green technology. This soon comes to a halt after the Japanese carmaker unveiled a brand new concept that is expected to be the next sports car to come from the company.
While the concept arrived without a name, we can tell that it is going to be the next Maxima that will arrive in 2015. This is due to the concepts design that resembles the Maxima, while also featuring some design features from the GT-R.
In detail, the 2015 Maxima features a large front grille that looks more aggressive than ever. There is also a chrome-coloured V-shaped bar that is glued to the grille. As for the headlights, they are boomerang in shape and they stretches out to the side of the vehicle. Similarly, the taillights are kept thin and are built with LED technology.
The Maxima is expected to be powered by a powerful V6 300hp 3.5 litre engine. Rumours further hints on a hybrid and turbocharged variants to get produced as well.
Inside the cabin, everything is blue in colour. The leather seats will look to keep things comfortable for the driver and the passenger, and there is also a huge infotainment system that is mated to the dashboard.
All in all, the Super Sports Concept is as exciting as it gets but there is still no guarantee that it will be the next Maxima. If it is to be the latter, than expect the car to rival the overhyped 2015 Honda Civic Type R.
