2015 Nissan Frontier (Navara) Production Doubling From Here On

The Nissan Frontier, or better known as the Navara, has just got a new manufacturing plant in Thailand. The facility will be the sole location where the NP300 Navara gets produced before getting shipped to over 45 countries worldwide.

The manufacturing centre is a really huge one as it measures at 580,000 meter-square. The factory also cost Nissan $3.7billion but it created 2000 jobs for the local population. The facility will look to develop 150,000 units a year and 50% of those will be for export. Even so, Nissan has already exceeded expectation after achieving 85% export ratio.

Nissan’s Vice-President, Fumiaki Matsumoto, revealed that the company is thrilled to have a new plant in Thailand. The lad added that the facility will improve growth in the region and it shows Nissan’s faith in Thailand, which is a fast-growing automotive market.

The Nissan Navara will go on sale on July 3 and consumers can choose from the King Cab or the Double Cab. The former sells at $17,760 while the latter cost $20,262.
