Ever since Kia acquired the services of an ex-Audi designer, the Korean carmaker has taken a new design direction for all of its vehicles. The upcoming third-generation Sorento will also be adopting the new design standards and it sure looks marvellous.
Yesterday, Kia released the first design sketch of the Sorento and it looks solid. The image shows the SUV standing firm on its large tyres, even when it sports a small grille. The Sorento looks well-proportioned and it even comes with a roof rack.
Then again, the design is something very typical, and general in the crossover segment. This has caused Theophiluschin to produce his visualization of the Sorento, if Kia were to hire an ex-BMW designer.
The rendering shows the Sorento looking so vicious it inspires confidence to the driver. The SUV comes with the hallmark BMW grille that is divided into two to make it look like the nose of a raging bull. In short, it looks better than what the ex-Audi designer created for Kia.
Then again, the fan-made concept was created just for the fun of it. If Kia were to see it, they probably might regret hiring an ex-Audi designer. This is something we wish to avoid.
