In today’s time, whichever vehicle that offers the best fuel efficiency while also having so much power will automatically be a bestseller. Many carmakers have noticed this trend and hence, has decided to utilized aluminium for their future vehicles.
It is no different for Jeep as the American carmaker is attempting to drastically reduce the weight of the upcoming Wrangler by making use of aluminium. After all, a lighter body means more power output and better fuel mileage.
Jeep teased that the upcoming wrangler will also be coming with a raked nose and windscreen. This will give it more aerodynamics that will also reduce air drag.
Under the hood, the Wrangler will be powered by a four-cylinder engine but knowing Jeep, they will offer multiple motors for consumers to choose from. Regardless, the engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Jeep is always recognized for its super-sturdy and durable vehicles. The idea for the Wrangler to be built with aluminium left the fans worrying that Jeep has gone soft. Then again, it is still too early to say as the Wrangler has yet to make its global debut.
