For decades now, fans have been begging Ford to re-create the Bronco but their cries were ignored by the American carmaker. That is until today when new rumours suggest that the Bronco, is in fact, getting produced in secret.
The word is that the upcoming Bronco won’t be anything like the past where only one model was created to cater to all. It appears that Ford is developing multiple variants of the SUV. In terms of motors, the Bronco can either run on the 4.5 liter diesel engine or a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine.
Ford has never been a big fan of diesel engines but the rising fuel cost is forcing it to pick up the trend. The company has already created a diesel mill for the Raptor F-150 and it has been selling well thus far. Perhaps, that could have changed Ford’s perception on diesel motors.
Aside from that, the Bronco will also have two different designs. One will come with a two-door while the other will come with a four-door. With Ford already confirming that they are lining up two-dozen vehicles arriving next year, we won’t be surprised if the Bronco is part of the list.
