The Bronco was last seen back in the mid-90s and is regarded as a legendary vehicle in the automotive history. The SUV was so popular in the past that even today, many are hoping for Ford to revive the Bronco.
Well, this might just be the case in the near future as rumours are suggesting that Ford is indeed, recreating the Bronco. The word is that the Bronco is currently in development behind closed curtains and it will be powered by either the Ecoboost engine, or a diesel mill.
If this is to be true, we can expect the motors to be the 4.5 liter diesel engine and a 3.5 liter Ecoboost engine. This will also make the Bronco a major rival to the Jeep Wrangler.
Then again, Ford is never a big fan of diesel mills but the success of the F-150 Raptor could have changed their mind. On the other hand, there are hints on the Raptor reaching an end in its production. The word is that the Bronco will be the direct replacement for the Raptor.
This seems logical and if it is to happen, we may just see the Bronco having multiple variants. There could even be a four-door Bronco coming our way. After all, Ford already promised two dozen vehicles coming in 2015 and some of them could be the Bronco.
