Here’s the Troller T4, Ford’s latest model-in-production. Ford took over Troller South America in 2007 and this is when the story started, with us finally finding out about the T4 this year.
If Ford is after developing a 4×4, why isn’t it making a new Bronco? Apparently, because the Troller isn’t intended for the US market. The crash tests of the Troller won’t pass muster in the US, so it probably won’t be hitting (ahem) American highways any time soon.
The Troller T4 will have a 3.2-litre, inline five-cylinder engine allied to a six-speed manual transmission. It’ll pull 185hp and 350lb-ft of torque.
Ford hasn’t told us anything about the interior of the T4, but it should be functional and low-maintenance as are most of Ford’s creations. Expect to see fabric seating, hard plastic dashes and vinyl flooring.
Prices should start at $20,000 or so, but this isn’t certain until Ford announces it.
