Come next year, Chrysler will be releasing the 200C and today, fans can already get a first glimpse of the EV sedan after images of its concept got released on the internet. Surprisingly, the new concept images are actually different from the one that was unveiled back during the 2009 NAIAS.
The first thing that viewers can notice is the reduced height of the rear-drive LX platform by four inches for the 200C. Then again, it is not by a significant measurement as we can still see the 300C highlights on the concept.
The headlights are now narrower than ever. On top of that, they rake over the sides to give it a more ferocious look. Over at the tail section, we can see that the 200C gets a more modern touch, inspired by BMW. The taillight stretches over the flanks to add more style to the vehicle.
The 200C is painted in liquid graphite pearl that is believed to symbolize the EV direction. Inside the cabin, the layout are also kept neat and minimal with green LED lighting, recycled nylons that is used as a floor mat and recycled leather lining the trunk.
The 200C doesn’t come with any buttons or levers as everything is controlled via the central touchscreen console that is planted inside the dashboard.
Under the hood, the 200C will be powered by the ENVI electric engine that is supported by a gas-powered range extender. The sedan will be coming to life next year and we can’t wait to learn more about the vehicle.
