2015 Chevy Colorado Review: Misinterpreted Size But Nothing Short Of Awesome

Chevrolet had just launched the all-new Colorado and yesterday, we got behind the wheel of this highly popular pickup truck. We arrived at Chevy’s showroom early in the morning and were greeted by a red Colorado.

Surprisingly, the Colorado looks bigger than how it is described. The vehicle is categorized under the mid-size truck bracket but we feel that it belongs to the large truck segment. Clearly, the automotive body needs to clarify the sizing of vehicles for each segment. As for the design, we couldn’t deny that the Colorado is a beauty on every front. The muscles are not exaggerated and the front grille does not look dull.

Under the hood, the Colorado is powered by a V6 motor which generates 305hp. The pickup truck offered a solid feel when cruising, all thanks to the 17” wheels that is wrapped with all-terrain rubber.

The comfort offered by the Colorado truly deserves a big round of applause. Everything inside is kept neat and tidy. Furthermore, the thick body frame keeps out the road noise from entering the cabin. Throughout our test, everything is super quiet on the inside of the vehicle.

Driving the Colorado will never get boring as the one we tested come with GM’s 4G LTE wireless hotspot that keeps us entertained with the internet.

Of course, there has to be a flaw as nothing is perfect in this world. For us, we feel that the Colorado does not cater well to those seeking a manual transmission. The gearbox option is simply too limited. Other than that, it is a two-thumbs up for the Chevrolet Colorado.
