The rumours were rife in indicating that the next-gen Apple MacBook Pro is going to run on Intel’s first ever 14nm nanochips, Skylake. With the tech component on-board, the MacBook Pro is expected to offer 60% improvement in battery life.
Unfortunately, this is not going to happen at all and it is because of Apple. The Cupertino-based company requires a fully operational 2015 MacBook Pro for the ongoing WWDC. The thing is that Skylake is not available at least until later this month and if Apple chooses to wait for it, there wouldn’t be a fully operational MacBook Pro to unveil at WWDC.
Hence, Apple has decided to save Intel’s Skylake for future generations of MacBook Pro. This is disappointing really as fans would prefer it if Apple forgets about WWDC and pick up Skylake for the future MacBook Pro.
