Come August next year, Acura will be launching the TLX and it will be selling for $30, 995. Of course, this is for the entry level model which is powered by the 2.4 litre base model.
The TLX will be the direct replacement for the existing TL and TSX. Also, it will be a front-wheel drive. Everything about the TLX sounds perfect. The 206bhp 2.4L 4-cylinder is really powerful and it is operated by an 8-speed automatic gear box.
Consumers can also opt for the premium version which runs on the 290bhp 3.5L V6 engine that operates on a 9-speed automatic transmission. Acura will be taking things to a whole new level as it also plans to offer the 3.5L SH-AWD TLX variant.
This higher end TLX will have a 3.5L version of the 290hp V6 9-speed engine and it comes with a choice of Technology package and Advance package. The former cost $41,450 and the latter is priced at $44,700.
On the downside of things however, the Acura TLX is not a pretty car to own. Its design is truly ugly, which is unfortunate as Acura has got the specs right.
