It has been a long quiet spell for Acura but now, the carmaker managed to became the talk in town after it launches the all-new TLX sedan. The vehicle is built to be the direct replacement for the TL and TSX. Also, Acura confirmed that the TLX will join next year’s MY line up.
While it might look like an average saloon, the TLX carries a lot of surprises underneath its hood. For starters, the vehicle drives on the FWD architecture that is powered by a choice from two different engines.
The first is the 206hp 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with an 8 speed automatic transmission and the 290bhp 3.5 liter V6 engine mated to a 9 speed automatic transmission. Further in the future, we could see the car running on the 3.5 liter SH-AWD motor that is mated to a 9 speed transmission.
In terms of pricing, the 2.4 liter variant has a price tag of $30,995 and $35,025 if taken with the technology package. The 3.5 liter model, on the other hand, retails at $35,220 and $39,250 if taken with the technology package. The price of the 3.5 liter with the advanced package is at $42,500. Finally is the SH-AWD model which retails at $41,450 with the tech pack and $44,700 with the advanced pack.
Fans of the TLX should make their purchase fast if they wish to enjoy the early bird perks. After all, Acura is running a program that will allow buyers to reserve the vehicle at the introductory price with APR financing. Also, consumers will be rewarded with a $500 voucher that can be spent on accessories.
