Auto shows has always been the stage for carmakers to unveil their future vehicles but the Tokyo Auto Salon offers something different. Instead of showing off beautiful concepts, the Japanese motoring event set up the stage for carmakers to groom their latest vehicles.
The recent Tokyo Auto Salon did just that as many cars came with some stylish body kits when they take the stage at the event. Among them is the latest Toyota Harrier, which swept its viewers off their feet.
There were two Harriers that participated in the event. One is the Harrier Sportivo Concept and the other is the Harrier Modellista. The former was designed by TRD and it is basically the 2WD Harrier that has a lowered s ports suspension, a ground effects kit, new front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels and a sports muffler.
The Modellista, on the other hand, is the 149hp, 2L petrol engine Harrier and it is decorated with a protruding front apron, side skirts, rear apron, 19-inch alloys, tailgate spoiler and a chrome kit, plus the use of LED lamps inside and a lowered suspension.
Both Harriers looks so appealing that it is a wonder why the SUV aren’t created with such style. Then again, both concepts will be made as standalone trim models solely for the Japanese market.
