A lot of petrol fans will be swayed to the diesel thanks to the new Porsche. The Porsche Macan runs on a 335bhp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. Drivers are given an additional 10mpg with the vehicle’s diesel version. Porsche believe that the diesel version will take up 60% of all Macans sold. Power is the one thing that is the biggest difference between the diesel and petrol versions. The V6 reaches its maximum at 5,500rpm, but is still capable of offering a good amount of power. The diesel option on the other hand gives the vehicle 580Nm from only 1,500rpm.
The car performs very well in cruise mode. The driver is given a gliding experience thanks to the vehicle’s smoothness and how quiet the engine is. When the vehicle is put into sports mode it suddenly changes into a sports car.
The Porsche handles fast turns extremely well. It can obviously not overtake sports cars such as the 911, however the control is outstanding for a SUV.
