The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee has finally arrived and it is that super SUV everyone has been waiting for. Unlike its predecessors, Jeep actually pays attention on build quality, comfort, handling, and standard features.
The first result is with the Cherokee’s headlamp, which is now fixed with LED lights. Also, the steering wheel is now wrapped in leather and so is the gear lever. While this is nothing big, it is still a nice gesture from Jeep.
However, there are some flaws to the changes. The most noticeable of them all is the multi-function stalk for lights, indicators and wipers. Jeep has made it too clunky for anyone likes. Also, the leg room is surprisingly small.
With a starting price from $43,000, consumers can choose from a petrol engine, or the diesel engine. The latter is obviously the better choice. It is a 3L engine that produces 184kW and 570Nm. This is controlled by an 8-speed automatic gear. Running on diesel is also an efficient way to save money. The diesel engine achieves 7.7km/100km, which is quite impressive for its size. Furthermore, the engine can tow vehicles of up to 3500kg in weight.
Of course, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is still a costly vehicle. The car has a price tag that starts at $43,000 but considering that you can go off-road with it, the Cherokee wouldn’t be a bad buy after all.
