The latest Hyundai Santa Fe has been nothing short of awesome. The full-size SUV arrived a naturally aspirated 3.3L V6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This translates to a whopping 290hp but it lacks the torque which measure at 252 ft-lbs.
While it all sounds great, the fact that it runs on a V6 engine means that the Santa Fe is a fuel drainer. The SUV is able to achieve 18mpg on city roads and 25mpg on highways. Then again, these are impressive for a car that runs on a V6 motor.
The Santa Fe arrived with a futuristic design as it boasts a large chrome grille that reaches out to the sporty headlamps. Over at the tail section, the rear lights are well designed and features a chrome lining finish is fitted in between the two lamps.
The most important thing about an SUV is space. The Santa Fe has 160 cubic-ft of space to offer in its cabin with 13.50 of it being the cargo department. Of course, the Santa Fe can free up more boot space by pulling down the second-row seats. In total, cargo space on the Santa Fe measures at 80 cubic ft.
Despite all that, the Santa Fe has been second best to close rivals, the Chevrolet Tahoe. Not only is the latter faster but it is also bigger and are more generous when offering space.
Nevertheless, Hyundai has managed to make the Santa Fe a complete SUV as it comes with all the safety features like blind spot detection system, power liftgate, 7 airbags, ABS and many more.
