This year, Honda rolled out many vehicles and one of them is the new CR-V. This latest SUV is now a hybrid as Honda aims to make all its vehicles energy efficient. The Japanese carmaker equipped the vehicle with a 2.2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that has an output of 110kW and 350Nm.
In detail, there are two different diesel variant that consumers can choose from. First is the DTi-S that can run on a six-speed manual or a five-speed. Then, there is the DTi-L, which runs on a 5-speed automatic transmission only.
Regardless of the engine, both diesel CR-V arrived with features like 17-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlights with auto-off function, LED running and tail lights. The interior of the car has a minimalistic design with most of the button functions being programmed into the dashboard panel.
Unlike its rivals, the CR-V diesel amazed us as it offers a driving experience like no other. There isn’t any turbo-lag with the vehicle and driving on high-revs will still keep the noise level at the minimum. When driving the diesel CR-V, it is simply pleasant and makes the driver forget that it is a diesel car.
Also, the car can still produce more power when needed. Specification reads that the CR-V can tow a vehicle that is 2000kg in weight. This is really impressive as not many SUV of its size is capable of doing so.
All in all, the Honda CR-V diesel is truly the best choice for a simple, powerful and feature-packed SUV around.
