Earlier this year, Ford launched the all-new Focus and it has been selling like hotcakes ever since. This is not surprising as the latest Focus is a tremendous improvement from its predecessors in terms of reliability, efficiency and power.
The car might be similar to the smaller Ford Fiesta in many ways but it is built with a larger measurement to be the perfect family car. Furthermore, the new Focus comes with a new design which is a nice combination of sportiness and premium. It has a more slender front lights, chrome-slatted grille and smaller tail-lamps.
The interior has also been updated with the latest technology from Ford. Aside from the entry-level Focus, the hatchback now offers an 8” touchscreen panel that is embedded on the centre dashboard. The slate will control the any various functions unlike before, when driver has to study the buttons and switches.
The Ford Focus is powered by the 180hp 1.5L Ecoboost engine which returns 51.4mpg. This is so much more efficient than the previous Focus which managed 47.9mpg. The engine on the new Ford Focus is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and it is able to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 7.9s. There is also a top speed of 130mph with this new mill.
Obviously, power isn’t a problem for the all-new Focus. As a matter of fact, we couldn’t find any flaw with the vehicle. Cruising at high speed is a blissful experience thanks to the well-insulated interior. When needed, the Focus can bring out raw power at low revs.
The icing on the cake is the Focus’ price tag which is super affordable. The entry level model retails at £23,520, which isn’t a problem for an average Joe. The only mistake consumers can make is not getting the Ford Focus.
