Just last month Apple revealed the iOS 7.0.6 update that came with the build number of 11B651 for the Apple iPhone, the iPad and the iPod Touch. The firmware comes in at 35.5MB OTA and with it comes a fix for SSL connection verification. The bug meant that hackers could get into the owners data on source HTTPS sessions. Apple has been telling people to make the update to fix the issue.
But it seems that all is not well with the update and there are some owners who have said that the battery level drops fast after making the update and the handset gets very warm. The battery drain happens when using the device and when the handset is in standby.
There is an easy fix though for the battery drain and warming of the device.
First you should stop all apps that are running in the background and you can do this by double tapping on the home button, this will take you to the multi-tasking screen. You can then swipe apps to close them off.
Reboot the handset by holding down power and home and the handset will then restart.
Owners have reported that this stops the issue with battery drain and the device getting warm.
