If you were at Summit County last week, then you would have seen many future Ford vehicles undergoing an altitude test. We managed to sneak inside the facility and became a spectator to a fabulous show.
In total, we spotted twelve Ford vehicles, all covered in camouflage. Despite that fact, we can tell which vehicle is which through its obvious shape and size. Then again, we can only identify three of them and they are the Mustang, Ford ST and Explorer.
The ST is the most obvious off them all as the moniker was left out in the open for our viewing. While no details were revealed by Ford, we believe that the ST is a test mule for the RS. After all, it has the same features and upgrades as the European tester of that same model.
For those who have been living under a rock, the RS is the next flagship vehicle for Ford and it is said to drive on a 2.3 litre turbocharged EcoBoost four, inspired by the Mustang.
Speaking of which, the Mustang which is wrapped in thick camouflage and there is no telling on the new design that will come with it. What we can be certain of is that the muscle car will be released next year and only then, will we learn more about the vehicle.
Finally is the Explorer. There are two of them running on the same course with one being totally hidden under camouflage, while the other is only wrapped on the front portion. Obviously, the latter is going to be a mid-cycle facelift.
