Ford have recalled their Ford Escape once more. This will make it the 11th time that Ford have recalled this model for a number of different issues.
This most recent issue has to do with the vehicle’s wiring and it may also have affected the Ford Focus. Ford are going to recall 160,000 Ford Escapes and Ford STS altogether because of the issue with the wiring as it may chance the engine’s performance which might make the engine stall stated Reuters.
This happened after Focus ST owners took to the FocusST.org.forums to speak up about the problems with their cars stalling.
The model in question runs on a 2.1. liter EcoBoost engine that is an optional engine choice for the Ford Escape, but the only one for the Ford ST.
The recall previously had to do with the 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine going up in flames. Ford have stated that there have been no accidents or injuries caused by the issue.
