While Motorola has since released a host of great new smartphones ranging from the dual-core Motorola Atrix early last year to the latest Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the Motorola DROID X, possibly one of Motorola’s most influential smartphones.
Motorola DROID X update announced (not Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich)
Now an email sent to Motorola Feedback Members has advised that the Motorola DROID X is set to get an update:
“Hi,

Thanks — please understand that start times are always fluid. We ask for your patience if you register but don’t hear from us right away.

Now before you get your hopes up and expect this to be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, just remember that Motorola still has a lot of Gingerbread kinks to work out in the DROID X, and that is exactly what this update is all about. For full details on what the update brings to the Motorola DROID X, check out the official changelog at the source.
