We’ve always praised the rear shell of the HTC Incredible range and found that it was one of the few times that HTC really innovated in terms of design. Well it now looks like we may get that same sexy backside but with more sophisticated hardware headed to Verizon Wireless.
Is this the Verizon HTC DROID Incredible 3?
A new string of leaked pictures from PhoneArena detail what looks like a next-generation HTC DROID Incredible. According to the srouce, this chunky phone packs 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, AMOLED screen, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with the new HTC Sense, and wait for it… 4G LTE. Overall, the specs list resembles the HTC Fireball (codename) which leaked around Christmas last year.
Given that the Verizon Motorola DROID 4 release is out of the way, February (and even March) looks all clear for a new DROID. On a side note, HTC also announced late yesterday that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update will be headed to the HTC Sensation series of smartphones sometime in March. The HTC Rezound also received a mention alongside the DROID Incredible 2 but no firm date was given for these two devices.
