We hate to be the bearer of bad news but it has now been officially confirmed by Samsung that the Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t be unveiled at MWC 2012 on February 27 after all.
Samsung Galaxy S3 MWC 2012 launch not happening
The details come via TheVerge who received this statement directly from the folks over at Samsung: “The successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.”
It is surprising that Samsung has decided to skip the February debut of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and further points to reports by DigiTimes that Android manufacturers are waiting for iPhone 4S sales to slow down before unveiling their “next big thing”.
Release date aside, the Samsung Galaxy S3 rumor mill suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S III will come with a quad-core processor, 12-megapixel camera and of course Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
