HTC Ville With Android 4.0 ICS Caught On Video With Quirky Capacitive Button Layout

We’ve been hearing about the HTC Ville for some time now but have yet to see it in action. Well that can now be marked off our list as a full walkthrough video of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone has just landed on YouTube.

Running ICS and a layer of HTC Sense Version 4.0, the HTC Ville (likely a codename) resembles other HTC smartphones in terms of design. We see the all too familiar rounded edges and a mesh of metal and rubber (think Google Nexus One).

However things start to get a little strange when you take a closer look at its button layout. The HTC Ville only has 3 capacitive buttons: back, home and screen. What is missing is the search button which obviously was removed to allow for search integration that’s built into Ice Cream Sandwich (on-screen action menus).

Other details revealed in the HTC Ville video walkthrough are its 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution, front facing camera, 1GB RAM and 8-megapixel camera.
