By now you must have read that Google has opened its pages where you can finally register for updates on the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
After over a month of being exclusively available on Verizon Wireless only, the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone will be making another first: it will become the first 4G LTE smartphone on Sprint. Now we had a glimpse of it at CES 2012 but couldn’t see its rear cover as rumors suggested the Sprint variant will have a better camera and larger capacity battery than the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In addition to this, an online ad previously listed that the Sprint Galaxy Nexus featured a dual-core 1.5GHz chipset (the Verizon and international variant packs a 1.2GHz).

While that remains unconfirmed, there are other confirmed features which will give the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus a leg up over the Verizon version. The Sprint Galaxy Nexus will include 32GB of internal storage and feature support for Google Wallet, something the Verizon version is missing.
No word yet on when the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus will release but judging by the commotion from Samsung and Google, we can be certain it will be before Q1 2012 is up. On a side note, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is rumored to launch at MWC 2012 and if its predecessor is anything to go by, it should land on all four major US carriers eventually.
