When HTC launched the One X they set the standards in the world of quad core smartphones. From there on Android handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S3 debuted. Now according to PCGerms, HTC wants something big and they may have achieved it if leaked benchmarks are correct of a smartphone with the model number PM63100 with a 1.7GHz processor.
Leaked benchmark shows new contender to HTC One X & Samsung Galaxy S3
The leaked benchmark results tell us that the PM63100 which has been called “evitareul”, which may be written down as Evitare UL, may be an indication that HTC are getting ready to gear up their HTC One XL Evita phones.
In comparison to the One XL with its 1.5GHz quad core processor, this latest model comes with a processor of 1.7GHz. It is thought that it also has an HD screen of 720 pixels with a resolution of 1196 x 720 pixels. It will run on Android 4.0 ICS, but this could change to Jelly Bean by the time it is released and it is thought that it will have support for LTE and AT&T will be the carrier.
Now a 1.7GHz quad-core Android smartphone certainly tops the list, beating out the international versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X. Nevertheless given that this is just a rumor, we wouldn’t hold our breath for it just yet.
