While the iPhone 4S boasts pretty decent battery life, there isn’t an Apple user out there that wouldn’t mind a little extra life from their device before having to run to the charger. If this sounds like you then here are a couple of tips to extend iPhone 4S battery life safely.
A few tips to extend iPhone 4S battery life
One of the best ways to get more from your battery is by lowering the brightness of the screen just as you might on your laptop. All you have to do is head over to Settings > Brightness and adjust it.
To help save battery power you could turn off the option in the phone to fetch data every so often. Also check apps that ‘push’ data to your phone, these typically push messages and alerts in real time. They are excellent for keeping you updated but they do use a lot of battery and data. Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars, and choose to fetch data manually. You can turn off push to the calendar too in this screen. If you want to disable push notifications then go into Settings > Notifications and turn the option to off.
Use a Wi-Fi connection instead of the cellular or 3G connection when you download or make calls over Google Voice. If you are not at home just connect to a hotspot and along with keeping data charges down it will also help to improve the battery life on your handset. If you happen to be in a region where you cannot get Wi-Fi you can turn the Wi-Fi option off to help reserve battery too.
