We could be seeing the iPhone 5 in around three months time and until then the must have smartphone bar none is the Samsung Galaxy S3. The phone has been selling fast in countries lucky enough to have seen the release already, and the US is next in line to see incoming sales. So should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 the moment opportunity arises or should you wait for the next Android Samsung has to offer now that we’ve got a taste of where Sammy is headed in 2012?
Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Note 2: should you wait?
In this case we are talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is expected to use the Galaxy S3 architecture as a stepping stone for something big. If you’ve been following the Galaxy Note 2 rumors, you will see why they have gotten the attention of the web so quickly.
With stocks of the S3 running low thanks to demand overcoming supplies you may wish to hang on as it will not be long before the Note 2 is announced, that is if rumors can be trusted. The “phablet” is thought to have a larger screen than its predecessor at 5.5 inches. The original Note had a screen size of 5.3 inches. At 5.5 it is considerably larger than the screen of the S3 at 4.8 inches. It is thought that in the US the device will come with a dual core processor and it will have 2GB of RAM and support for 4G LTE, just like the Samsung Galaxy S3.
What camera it will come with is anyone’s guess at the moment, some say that it will be 8 megapixels and others are claiming that it will be 12 megapixels. It should come with Android 4.1 JellyBean pre-installed, while owners of the S3 may get the JellyBean update sometime end of 2012 only.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may be well worth the wait if its September release rumors are true given that it seems to pack a lot of the goodies we see in the Samsung Galaxy S3, coupled with the strengths of its phablet predecessor the original Note.
