Products that have yet to be released are always being sold on eBay. This generally comes around when people have been given something and they don’t want it. In this case someone has paid out a whopping $1825 just to get their hands on the Google Nexus 7. The listing stated it was the Nexus 7 Google I/O tablet with Android 4.1 JellyBean, new and unopened, sealed.
Google Nexus 7 sold on eBay for a whopping $1,825. Why??
The guy must really have a passion for the Nexus 7 if he was willing to spend almost $2k on the device, as it will be on the shelves in just over 2 weeks with the price tag of $199. This is apparently the price that one has to pay if they want to get their hands on a device that only those who attended the I/O have right now.
The Nexus 7 does happen to be a great tablet and the item listed was a special edition white version from I/O, which does make it hot; whether it is $1825 of hot we are not sure. With the kind of money spent on this device the guy could have gone out and got himself one of the new Macbook Pros with Retina display.
Or better yet, he could have bought an iPad, an Amazon Kindle Fire, the Google Nexus 7 tablet and even a smartphone of his choice unlocked (we’re suggesting the Samsung Galaxy S3). I’m just saying.
