The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available from HHGregg on 12th July, reports DroidLife. The blog ponders over whether this makes sense. Customers on Verizon have been pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the shipping dates with them have been 9th July, 10th July and at the moment 11th July. Therefore if the handsets are going to be shipped around then, it makes sense that they would also be available in stores on 12th July, doesn’t it?
HHGregg: Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 available in stores on July 12
This would be a Thursday and of course everyone knows that Big Red just loves to launch new devices on a Thursday, don’t they. HHGregg were seen advertising the Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB for $199.99 (blue and white versions) and even underlined ‘Available July 12th’ in green.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is of course one of the most anticipated handsets from Android with a superb 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen, dual-core processor and 8-megapixel camera with zero shutter lag. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with special features like S Voice, the digital assistant of Samsung`s and Smart Stay which allows the handset to know when you are looking at it so the screen does not dim.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available via 5 major US carriers and will go up against the likes of the iPhone 4S and HTC One X. While it seems to have an upperhand over both its rivals, rumors of a HTC One XXL, iPhone 5 and Motorola DROID RAZR HD suggest it has a fight coming up.
